Eddie Shaw is the founder of Apex Physique and creator of the Beast, Warrior, and Legend systems.
As he entered his fifties, Eddie felt a growing need to challenge himself. He had always believed that you are never too old to try something new—and decided to prove it through his actions.
During his fifties, Eddie completed a marathon, won a boxing match, made a solo parachute jump, and became a father later in life. Each challenge demanded more than physical preparation. It required him to adopt a new identity.
When preparing for the marathon, Eddie began to think, train, eat, and recover like a runner. When preparing for the boxing match, he developed the discipline, mindset, and habits of a boxer. He learned that meaningful progress begins when you stop treating training as something you occasionally do and start seeing it as part of who you are becoming.
This belief became central to the Apex Physique approach. Choosing a training identity gives purpose to your exercise, nutrition, and recovery. It aligns your daily decisions with your goal while developing both the body and the mindset needed to succeed.
Fatherhood gave Eddie's journey an even deeper purpose. He wanted to become healthy, capable, and resilient enough to enjoy every stage of his son's life while setting an example through his own actions.
Having experienced everything from being significantly overweight to overcoming injuries that affected his daily life, Eddie learned that lasting results are not built through perfection. They are built by repeatedly acting in accordance with the person you have chosen to become.
That lesson became the foundation of Apex Physique.
Rather than creating another complicated fitness programme, Eddie developed practical systems that people can follow alongside careers, families, and everyday responsibilities.
